Biography

I paint in oils and watercolors and do some pencil drawings as well. My primary influnces are Sargent, Homer, Whistler, etc.--and also some contemporary landscape artists like Matt Smith and Robert Wade. This fall I am giving a solo show at an institute in St. Louis, MO. Odd fact: I do almost all of my artwork in my room while listening to the Harry Potter audio books. I'm not obsessed, I promise...I think it just helps me paint better and keeps it from getting too quiet. But it's amusing for me to look at my paintings because I'll suddenly be reminded of a certain part in one of the stories. Haha...this is probably such a kid thing to do, but you never know...maybe there's more behind it than I think.
